My Life
Yes it's me. Except for being a policeman in Rolling Meadows, IL for two years. I have been in the entertainment world since I was 24 years old.
Started out as a stuntman. Performed in many commercials, TV Soaps and movies. Moved into management and produced many live events and concerts.
I created the first organized Stunt Street Program for the amusement park industry in 1971. This lead to the ever popular stunt performances presented in so many amusement parks of today.
In 1973 I created the original Halloween Haunt along with Bill Hollingshead. This event has become the corner stone special event for Knotts as well as being copied by over 100 amusement parks thourghout the United States. This was the Grand Daddy of all Halloween Events.
In 1974 I wrote and produced Knott's Berry Farm's Wild West Stunt Show which ran for 31 years becoming the longest running inhouse produce show in amusement park history and became the prototype of other stuntshows that followed in 100's of amusement parks.
In 1984 I created Studio K the largest teen dance club in the United States. Disneyland and Magic Mountain quickly followed with their dance clubs within the next two years.
I created The Christmas Craft Festival in 1985 which is still going today.
Was Director of Entertainment at Knott's Berry Farm for 10 years.
Director of Entertainment at the Colorado Belle and The Edgewater Casinos in Laughlin, NV for three years. Both properties are owned by Circus Circus Enterprises.
I was Director of Entertainment and Marketing at Wild Bill's Wild West Extravaganza in Buena Park, CA. for four years.
Currently I am Director of Technical Services and Advertising for Pirate's Dinner Adventure in Buena Park, CA
I raised one daughter as a single parent and I am a grandfather to two boys, Garrett 14 and Chase 11.
Life is Good.
AN UPDATE:
On December 5, 2006 I fell 20 feet and crushed both heels. I spent 17 days in the hospital and 4 months in a wheelchair and 3 months on crutches. I have titanium implants in both feet. I am now walking almost as normal, but still can't run.
I have just finished writing a book of my life experiences titled I Was Almost Famous. Excerpts are available upon request. I just need to know the time line that you are interested in. Many names from the past are included in this book.
Another UPDATE:
I am now the C.E.O of Calamigos Ranch Cowboy Cookout in Malibu CA.
UPDATE: January 1, 2112
I have now retired, but still serve as a consultant for Calomigos Cowboy Cookout. Life still has been very good to me.
